I'm the "new kid" on the art show scene this year. Just finishing my 3rd show, here's what I've learned; putting up a tent by myself is so much easier the 3rd time. Remember to bring bug spray. Take pictures!!! "Weather" happens when you work outside so be prepared. My display will be an ever changing scene.
Most importantly, have fun! An art show is an exciting experience. People just walk into my booth sharing great stories and wonderful conversation. The support I have received from my new friends, artist friends and acquaintances is a true gift. One woman in particular asked me about my website. I explained that I did have a website but it was not up to date, only having a few pictures. It is on my "to do" list. Her response was "do we have to wait a whole year to hear from you again"? Thanks Karen, your words have called me to action. Take a look at the photos I've added to the gallery. For now, I'll be in the studio with my torch, making beautiful jewelry. See you soon, Julie
